Hi! My name is Jessica Bosch
I am an artist living in Ojai, California just starting to get my name out there. Deep down I’ve always known that art was my true calling, but for some reason I ran from that part of myself because I never thought I could really make it as an artist.
As I’ve grown up I’ve realized that there is only one true way to fail at anything, and that is by not trying.
If there is anything I know about art, it is that art truly is in the eye of the beholder. The reason that art speaks to people and often leaves people speechless, is because of what the artists themselves have put into it.
The one thing you can find that is consistent through every single artists’ work, is that it holds special meaning to them. There is, more often than not, a deeper meaning behind each Artists’ individual pieces. Whether it be love, gratitude, joy, sadness, fear, anger, etc., there is always and underlying meaning and emotion to every artist’s work, and that is what allows for all people all around to world to be drawn to art. As humans we crave emotional connection, and this is something that art offers, but more on a scale of emotional connectedness with yourself. Even when you are just purchasing a piece because you find it pretty to look at there is still that emotional connectedness happening.
Since I have realized that the only person standing in my way of “making it as an artist” was me, I am now making art to share with the world! To anybody that is reading this, I am honored to have your attention and the opportunity to share my art with you. Thanks for visiting my site!
Another passion of mine is photography- ever since I was a little girl I was fascinated with cameras and would take my dad’s cameras out on adventures with me. There is only one picture that I can find from one of those many days running around outside, trying to get the perfect picture of pretty much anything. Photography has taught me that anything and everything can be and is art- something that helps me see the glimmers in every day, even in the mundane.
